US President Trump plans to end birthright citizenship: Axios

news image

The US government is planning to end birthright citizenship for babies of non-citizens and undocumented immigrants born on US soil, President Donald Trump said in an interview on Tuesday.

In an interview with “Axios on HBO”, Trump said he is working with legal counsel to put an end to the practice, which has existed since 1968 and stipulates that citizenship is automatically granted to any person born within US territory.

“We’re the only country in the world where a person comes in, has a baby and the baby is essentially a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits,” Trump told Axios.

“It’s ridiculous and it has to end … it’s in the process and it’ll happen with an executive order,” he said.

More soon.

VR labs, shaky Fijian footage and getting ‘smashed’ in training – the life of a top rugby analyst

news image

Gavin Vaughan has studied NFL teams, scouted box-office players and helped Scotland boss Gregor Townsend prepare his team

“It’s like a double-chessboard with 120kg pieces. You’ve got to find ways of being smarter than the opposition. In Test rugby, 1-2% might be the difference between a win and a loss.”

This is how Gavin Vaughan, Scottish Rugby’s lead performance analyst and renowned spotter of talent, views the sport he studies with incredible precision.

In one sitting, he can spend up to 20 hours hunched over a laptop, ripping matches apart, scrutinising tactics and trends, assessing referees right down to the tempo of their calls, examining in minute detail what an opponent does well and where he can be got at.

The volume of information he and his team generates for Gregor Townsend is remarkable – and it has to be. Each international side has access to the same match footage from the same angles and employs variations of the same technology. The pressure is on Vaughan to outfox his opposition.

In a wide-ranging interview with BBC Scotland, the Welshman discusses scouring shaky footage from Fiji, visiting top NFL and NBA teams, and introducing virtual reality simulations to training.

‘Two clicks and you’re in’

The reams of data Vaughan gathers is broken down and presented to players on their phones and tablets via an app. The aim is to arm the squad with as many potentially decisive nuggets of knowledge as possible.

“It’s about highlighting individual weaknesses and strengths – where could we gain opportunities?” the analyst says. “Do players carry the ball in a certain hand? Do they always step off a certain foot?

“When they’re up against their opposite man, players can tap into as much detail as possible. If they just want to look at how he tackles on his left shoulder, two clicks and they’re in.

“We do a lot of in-depth work on referees – what are their main offences? We look at the timings of their calling sequence for the scrum. Some teams use the audio [of the referee calling the scrum engagement] on a speaker.”

Building a virtual reality lab

In his thirst for knowledge and innovation, Vaughan has travelled to America, studying the NFL’s San Francisco 49ers and LA Rams, the Golden State Warriors in NBA and Premier League side Leicester City.

He is working on a fascinating technological project that could have broad ramifications for how Scotland’s players prepare for games.

Vaughan wants to create a “virtual reality lab”, where players would don electronic headsets and be shown simulated 3D rugby scenarios – a line-out, a first-phase attack, a high ball – and react.

It would operate as a flight simulator does for pilots, and given how brutal elite rugby can be, it would allow players to log more practice time without clattering into each other.

“The 49ers quarterbacks who don’t get enough on-field reps can come into the VR lab and get extra practice in a virtual world, seeing plays from the quarterback’s perspective,” Vaughan says.

“Particularly with the physical demands of our game, there’s mental learning, visualisation and decision-making through VR. Line-out callers, half-backs, full-backs looking at the back-field perspective – you could use it right across the board.

“VR is the best way of improving decision-making without physically doing it and it could become a vital part of training within the next year or two.”

Vaughan and Townsend visited the Golden State Warriors basketball team earlier this year

‘Getting smashed’ searching for talent

While working under Townsend at Glasgow, Vaughan spent much of his time scouring the globe for hidden gems. He still scouts, although he is more focused now on players already eligible for Scotland, and who might be good enough to play Test rugby.

He was tipped-off about Blade Thomson, the huge New Zealander who qualifies through his grandparents and won his first Scotland call-up this autumn.

He stumbled across Huw Jones, the prolific centre, and helped build a package of data that led to Glasgow signing the outrageously talented forward Leone Nakarawa.

He also unearthed monstrous Australian winger Taqele Naiyaravoro, who spent a year at Scotstoun.

Much of this is painstaking and somewhat unscientific work, reliant upon word of mouth, helpful contacts and luck.

“I felt the force of Naiyaravoro once in training. I was doing a bit of extra work with the back three, a finishing drill in the corner with a pad. He smashed me. That clip was a popular addition to the Glasgow meetings for a while,” Vaughan says.

“I watched a lot of Nakarawa in random sevens footage for the Fijian army and Fijian club rugby. Some of the footage was… interesting.

“Particularly being a Scottish club without the budgets of French and English clubs, we have to be smarter, and put a lot of work in looking for those points of difference in players.

“A lot of it is about attitude and ‘coachability’, speaking to people who have coached and played with him. Do guys work hard? What do they do off the ball?

“Someone who’s going to buy into what you’re trying to achieve. Someone who brings value from experience in a different environment.

“Some teams overlook that – it’s quite easy to sign a guy with a brilliant YouTube video but you’ve got to get the full 360 package. That’s how you get the best out of the player and the best out of the group.”

10 Halloween costume you definitely should not wear

news image

Halloween is both the most wonderful time of the year, and one of the most problematic.

Among the Instagram posts of clever puns, obscure movie references, and popular superheroes, you’re bound to scroll past a costume that makes you lose all faith in humanity. You’ve probably had this experience: You stop scrolling, zoom in, and maybe take a screenshot to ask the group chat, “Did nobody tell them this is awful?”

Newsflash: You can dress up without being deeply offensive! Whether racist caricatures or making sexual assault puns, here are 10 costumes to avoid this Halloween.

1. Don’t do blackface. Don’t.

Megyn, girl, what are you doing?

Image: Nathan Congleton/Getty Images

Megyn Kelly defended blackface as “OK, as long as you were dressing up as, like, a character.”

Except, it’s not. It wasn’t OK when she was “a kid,” and it still isn’t OK now — blackface is a remnant of the United State’s ugly history, and accepting it only dismisses the oppression that Black people have endured in America. Just don’t do it.

2. “Free mammograms”

Do you want to be your dad’s creepy friend? Because this is totally something your dad’s creepy friend would do.

3. Sexual assault puns aren’t cute, OK?

<img class="" data-credit-name='Halloweencostumes‘ data-credit-provider=”custom type” src=”https://i.amz.mshcdn.com/LCpCVeasEe_TaMpVlgSXUA97jxA=/fit-in/1200×9600/https%3A%2F%2Fblueprint-api-production.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fuploads%2Fcard%2Fimage%2F873303%2F4bffa695-9140-4461-92dc-0a57da4a0411.jpg” data-fragment=”m!b484″ data-image=”https://ift.tt/2Qd8kew; data-micro=”1″>

It’s 2018 and people are still dressing up as Dr. Feltersnatch, the unscrupulous gynecologist who apparently gropes his patients. Gross. Let’s move on from this.

4. Please don’t dress up as a Charlottesville protestor

The white supremacist rally in Charlottesville last August where Heather Heyer was killed was a horrific event in American history. Don’t trivialize it with a costume.

5. Or as a literal Nazi

Being a trash human is one thing, but subjecting your child to a costume glorifying genocide is another level. As Rabbi Gary Mazo told the local NBC station, “A good rule of thumb would be: If your costume calls to mind an event where millions were killed, choose another costume.”

Don’t dress up as a fucking Nazi for Halloween, guys.

6. This bloody monstrosity

This is … truly something else. Subversive? Maybe. Something you’d want immortalized on the internet forever? Probably not.

7. Someone really dressed up as an abortion

I just don’t even have words for this. Is the edginess worth the cringe, though?

8. Cultural appropriation isn’t cute

Sexualizing another culture’s sacred outfits isn’t cute. Capitalizing on the aesthetics of a historically oppressed people isn’t cute. Why are companies still selling fake headdresses?

9. When you can’t choose just one culture to appropriate

Dolls Kill what are you doing??

Image: screenshot via dolls kill

This “Eternal Flower Warrior” has it all: a mini dress with “kimono sleeves,” chopsticks, and a fan to “keep the haters away.” Who let this happen? Who thought this would be a good idea to sell? It’s 2018 — at this point, you probably live under a rock if you think wearing this in public is OK.

Plus, let’s be real: This dress is hideous.

10. Homeless people are people, too

<img class="" data-credit-name='amazon‘ data-credit-provider=”custom type” src=”https://i.amz.mshcdn.com/GPRYllXank9LSLDVDBPEt2gfQwA=/fit-in/1200×9600/https%3A%2F%2Fblueprint-api-production.s3.amazonaws.com%2Fuploads%2Fcard%2Fimage%2F873301%2Fc670422f-e24a-4998-97c3-1f5c2b7dd6d8.jpg” data-fragment=”m!a9f2″ data-image=”https://ift.tt/2qk8W78; data-micro=”1″>

You have to seriously lack compassion to dress up as a homeless person for Halloween, post it on Instagram, and add #hobo to the caption. Making fun of someone trying to exist is not a good look — don’t do it!

If you’re pressed for a last minute costume and even consider a horribly offensive costume, just pass on it and dress up as a sexy cat like the rest of us.

Defence firms see only hundreds of new US jobs from Saudi deal

news image

Every time US President Donald Trump mentions the $110bn arms deal he negotiated with Saudi Arabia last year, he quickly follows up, saying “It’s 500,000 jobs.”

But if he means new US defence jobs, an internal document seen by Reuters news agency from Lockheed Martin forecasts fewer than 1,000 positions would be created by the defence contractor, which could potentially deliver around $28bn of goods in the deal.

Lockheed instead predicts the deal could create nearly 10,000 new jobs in Saudi Arabia, while keeping up to 18,000 existing US workers busy if the whole package comes together – an outcome experts say is unlikely.

A person familiar with Raytheon’s planning said if the Saudi order were executed it could help to sustain about 10,000 US jobs, but the number of new jobs created would be a small percentage of that figure.

Lockheed Martin Corp declined to comment on the Saudi package. Raytheon Co’s Chief Financial Officer Toby O’Brien said last week that hiring overall is growing, but he did not pin it to any particular programme.

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Jobs are important to Trump. He campaigned on his ability to create American jobs, especially high-paying manufacturing ones.

Meanwhile he has limited his criticism of Saudi leadership over the killing of a prominent critic because he did not want to endanger the massive arms deal.

Trump’s 500,000 figure has been greeted with widespread scepticism given the five biggest US defence contractors, who make nearly every item on the Saudi list, now employ 383,000 people.

Documents seen by Reuters and interviews with defence industry sources familiar with the arms package suggest that between 20,000 and 40,000 current US defence industry workers could be involved in Saudi-bound production if the whole $110bn package goes through.

Existing workers typically are experienced, skilled, who can be redeployed more easily than new hires who would require significant upfront investment in their training.

One significant caveat to any predictions on job creation is whether all of the missile defences and radars, ships, tanks, software, bombs and other equipment listed in the full Saudi package get delivered.

Saudi Jobs

Interviews with people familiar with other major defence contractors’ plans and estimates reflect similar dynamic as Lockheed’s and Raytheon’s plans – relatively minor additions to their US workforce and more significant build-up in Saudi Arabia.

Since Trump’s trip to the Kingdom last year, little economic activity has taken place beyond Lockheed’s work on four frigates the Saudis have ordered.

The order will yield nearly 10,000 jobs in the Saudi ports for maintenance workers, but only 500 new US jobs will be created, according to documents seen by Reuters.

Executives at the several of top US defence companies say Riyadh had wanted much of the military equipment as a way to both develop new domestic industry and to create new jobs and local expertise as a part of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 initiative to wean the country off oil dependency.

Saudi Arabia has set a goal of creating 40,000 defence industry jobs by 2030.

The arms package Trump announced in May 2017 came under renewed scrutiny after the October 2 killing of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul.

The killing provoked international outrage and both the administration and defence contractors have been working to prevent a backlash that could imperil what Trump has called a “tremendous order” and 500,000 jobs.

Industry executives have argued that without the Saudi package coming through they would have fewer orders to fill, but robust US defence budgets, which account for the majority of their sales, coupled with a record backlog of orders suggest little risk that workers would face layoffs if the Saudi sales package failed to materialise.

Certainly for each defence manufacturing job, other adjacent jobs are supported indirectly by higher demand for defence products.

But Heidi Garrett-Peltier, a research fellow at the Political Economy Research Institute, estimated that for this type of industry the highest multiplier would be just below 3.2.

Given that, 20,000 to 40,000 sustained or new jobs could generate between about 64,000 to 128,000 jobs in related industries, Reuters calculations show, bringing the total of sustained and new jobs to between 84,000 and 168,000.

In short, 500,000 jobs Trump keeps bringing up is at least three to five times higher than what one could expect from the Saudi deal, given the estimates from the companies themselves, plus the most generous use of the indirect multiplier.

By its own math, the US State Department said in May 2017 that the Saudi deal could support “tens of thousands of new jobs in the United States.”

Leicester helicopter crash: Riyad Mahrez dedicates Man City goal to Foxes owner

news image

‘He was like a dad’ – Mahrez dedicates goal to Leicester owner

Manchester City forward Riyad Mahrez said Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was “like a dad to me” after dedicating his match-winning goal against Tottenham to the Leicester owner killed in a helicopter crash on Saturday.

Srivaddhanaprabha and four others died in the crash at King Power Stadium.

Mahrez, who played 179 times for the Foxes between 2014 and 2018, said he had found it difficult to sleep.

“It has been very, very difficult for me,” the Algerian told Sky Sports.

“The boss was very special to me. I spent four and a half years there and have many memories with him.

“He was such a good person and had a big heart. It was heart-breaking and shocking for me to hear this news and for all of the other people who died with him. I am with Leicester and the family of the victims.”

Mahrez joined Leicester from Le Havre for £400,000 and was named Professional Footballers’ Association Player of the Season in their remarkable title-winning season in 2015-16.

He moved to Manchester City for £60m in July.

Mahrez was bought by Leicester when Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was owner

Mahrez scored the only goal in Manchester City’s win at Wembley, and celebrated by pointing to the sky in memory of the man who was in charge of Leicester throughout his time at the club.

“When I scored I put my hands in the sky for him,” said Mahrez. “He did a lot for me and Leicester and it is difficult to speak about.”

The Algeria international said he did not consider missing the game, despite struggling to sleep since Saturday.

“I always wanted to play,” he added. “I know he would have wanted me to play. He was passionate about football. It was difficult, I kept thinking about him.”

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola described the past few days as “a tough moment” for Mahrez.

“He knew the owner well,” said Guardiola. “For all of the Leicester family it’s tough but here Riyad was very focused and he did a great job.”

That picture of Justin Bieber eating a burrito sideways was a total hoax

news image

By now, most of us have seen that picture of what many, many news outlets assumed was Justin Bieber eating a burrito sideways. In actuality, it was all a hoax.

YouTube creators Yes Theory revealed in a video posted Sunday that they were responsible for the viral photo of fake Bieber eating the burrito, and detailed how they made the moment happen.

In the video, Yes Theory explains that they enlisted a Bieber look-a-like named Brad Sousa for the prank and flew him from Canada to Los Angeles to stage paparazzi photos. They came up with two solid ideas: Bieber alone in a park eating the burrito, and Bieber helping an older lady cross the street.

Though they documented both fabricated moments, only the burrito photo went viral.

“We were trying to think of something that would offend the internet,” Yes Theory host Thomas Brag says in the video.

Yes Theory says they sent the photos to as many news outlets and blogs as possible. Within hours, the photo got tons of traction on Reddit and numerous news sites picked it up from there.

Certain outlets, like the Cut, did question the photo’s authenticity — and rightfully so.

Yes Theory says their intention was to show how simple it is to produce and construct viral moments. The video references late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s 2013 fake viral video of a girl catching on fire while dancing. In 2014, Kimmel was also responsible for a fake video of a wolf walking around a Russian hotel during the Sochi Olympics.

To be fair to the news outlets that fell for the stunt, Bieber’s done incredibly strange things in public, including: drag racing, peeing in a bucket, and crying (repeatedly)

Who wouldn’t want to believe that Bieber eats burritos like you would corn on the cob?

Will Carling: Former England captain to join national team in mentor role

news image

Will Carling has the most caps as captain of any England player, with 59

Former England captain Will Carling is set to join head coach Eddie Jones’ management team as a leadership mentor.

Carling led England in 59 of his 72 caps after being named captain aged just 22, winning three Grand Slams in 1991, 1992 and 1995.

The 52-year-old will begin the part-time role next week for England’s autumn internationals, with the first match against South Africa on Saturday.

“He joins the great past of England to the present,” said Jones.

The Australian said Carling is a “specialist in leadership” and will “add value” in his role of developing the skills of England’s senior players, headed by co-captains Owen Farrell and Dylan Hartley.

“It is similar to what the All Blacks have done with great players and I think Will can play a role for us,” Jones added.

Jones, 58, added he had wanted to bring in an England great “all along” and had spoken to other former players but felt Carling, whose side were beaten finalists in the 1991 World Cup, was the “best equipped”.

“Because I’m not English, I can’t preach to the players about having pride in England,” he said.

“I’ve always thought we have possibly had a gap in that area.

“Will understands what made English rugby great so combining the skill of leadership with the knowledge of English history is a nice resource for us to have.”

Carling’s role could be extended until the 2019 World Cup in Japan if his appointment proves a success.

During the 2015 World Cup, former Harlequins centre Carling said England lacked leadership and the players were treated “like schoolboys” under Jones’ predecessor Stuart Lancaster.

Saracens scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth, who is in England’s squad for the autumn Tests, dismissed Carling’s criticism as “ridiculous”.

The South Africa match begins a month of Saturday internationals at Twickenham for England, with other fixtures against New Zealand, Japan and Australia.

Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft’s bans should be lifted, says ACA

news image

Cameron Bancroft, who carried out the cheating, and captain Steve Smith are serving bans, alongside vice-captain David Warner

Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft should have their bans for ball-tampering lifted after a scathing review of Cricket Australia (CA), says the Australian Cricketers’ Association.

Bancroft, Smith and Warner were suspended after the incident in March.

But an independent review commissioned by CA found the body to be “arrogant and controlling” and partly to blame.

“These contrite men have suffered enough. Let them play,” said Greg Dyer, head of the players’ union.

Smith, captain at the time, and Warner, his vice-captain, are seven months into one-year bans, while Bancroft, who carried out the cheating in South Africa, will be eligible to return in December.

“Given there is now independent verification that CA’s system and culture were contributory factors, the ACA calls for the lifting of the board-imposed penalties on Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft,” added Dyer.

“The players have already lost time in the game, lost chances to play for Australia, endured public humiliation and faced massive financial penalties.”

The ACA also called for the “urgent” implementation of all 42 recommendations in the 145-page report, which included complaints from those involved in the sport of a bullying culture in elite men’s cricket.

Among the recommendations was an anti-harassment code to stop sledging, and training to improve team leaders’ “moral courage”.

The review condemned a “winning without counting the costs” culture that left players in a “gilded bubble”.

As well as bans for three players, it also hastened the departures of coach Darren Lehmann and CA chief executive James Sutherland.

The governing body said it would accept most of the report’s recommendations.

13 spooky YouTube videos that are pure nightmare fuel

news image

Are you one of those people who loves being scared — but, you know, in that not-quite-real way? There’s nothing like the thrill of watching a scary video. And YouTube has plenty of them that are short and free and will totally satisfy your adrenaline craving.

Plus, watching on YouTube beats spending a ton of money to watch the latest horror flick on the big screen through your fingers.

In the spirit of Halloween, we’ve scoured the creepier corners of YouTube to gather some of the spookiest videos and web series out there. Take a look for yourself, or maybe with a friend or two. These just might give you nightmares for days.

1. Marble Hornets

Marble Hornets is a YouTube series based off the Slender Man mythos/creepypasta. The story follows Troy Wagner, a young man who tries to piece together the mystery surrounding the disappearance of his friend Alex Kralie after Kralie abruptly quit a film they were working on.

The series began in 2010, and a lot of the early entries show sightings of “The Operator,” a creature who bears an uncanny resemblance to Slender Man. Things only get more terrifying as Wagner continues to dig deeper into his friend’s past.

The series ended in 2014, but there are 87 main entries to binge if you’re feeling up to getting super spooked.

2. day four.wmv

This video is a part of the BEN Drowned creepypasta by YouTuber Alex Hall. According to the story, a boy named Matt unknowingly picks up a haunted copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, and finds it’s riddled with creepy glitches.

A statue in the game who represents the malevolent spirit in the cartridge follows the player every time Matt boots up the game. The ghost goes by the name of “BEN,” and he eventually causes Matt to lose his sanity, as the haunting and glitches get progressively worse each time he starts the game.

Videos of the spooky gameplay were uploaded onto Matt’s channel (now Alex’s) to add another layer to the written creepypasta. Take a look if you’re brave enough.

3. Fighting Buried Alive

This video is based off a creepypasta that said there was an unused model in the original Pokémon games that can only be uncovered through a series of steps. The model in question was a zombie-like figure called “BURIEDALIVE” that fought the player at the top of the Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town.

The video is a recording of the rumored battle. If the player loses the fight, the screen cuts to an image of the zombie creature chomping down on the player. Not to worry, Nintendo would never program something that terrifying in a children’s game — so it’s all fake.

4. Username666

This terrifying video is also based off a creepypasta rumor that said there was a haunted YouTube channel that can be accessed by typing “youtube.com/666” into your address bar. An error screen will show up saying that the user “doesn’t exist.”

However, according to the legend and this video, if you refresh the page enough times, the link will actually work. After agreeing to a popup that asks if you want to view the page, you’ll be taken to a horrifying channel filled with a lot blood-red images and creepy hands crawling all over the screen.

If you want to watch the video, be sure to prep yourself for the jump scare at the end!

5. I Feel Fantastic

This is Tara. She was apparently built by a man named John Bergeron, who was on a mission to build the world’s first pop star android.

Except Tara is actually pretty scary. A YouTube user named Creepyblog uploaded a video of the android eerily singing “I feel fantastic, hey hey hey” and “run.” It’s safe to say she won’t be making it in the industry anytime soon.

A ton of theories about Tara have sprung up — the most popular being that the Tara’s creator was a murderer, and Tara wore his victim’s clothing. Of course it’s far more than likely this android was just a scrapped project who continues to haunt us.

6. Any of blameitonjorge’s videos

Blamitonjorge is a YouTuber who talks about anything and everything creepy on the internet. A lot of his video center on conspiracy theories, scary rituals, and lost episodes of children’s cartoon shows.

The video above covers some really bizarre and unnerving broadcast interruptions that have occurred throughout the country in the past few decades. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart.

7. Hypno’s Lullaby

This video is based on a Pokémon theory/creepypasta that paints Hypno, a dream-eating Pokémon, as a kidnapper. The theory comes from Hypno’s Pokédex entry, which states: “There once was an incident in which it took away a child it hypnotized.”

That birthed this awful song about the Pokémon luring children away from their parents to feast on their dreams. The singing is pretty terrible, but the lyrics will make anyone’s skin crawl.

8. Lights Out

*JUMPSCARE WARNING*

This short horror film captures feeling like you’re not alone in your house at night. Hopefully none of us ever have to encounter the creature this lady comes face to face with at the end…

9. Paris Catacombs Lost Man Footage

This chilling footage was part of several documentaries — including an ABC Family Halloween special about the Catacombs of Paris — that were broadcast in the early 2000s.

The Catacombs, a popular tourist attraction in France, contain dozens of tunnels filled with human bones, in which anyone can easily get lost if they’re not careful. The footage in this video is allegedly from a camera that a man dropped in the Catacombs in the 1990s; it was later supposedly discovered by a group of people exploring the tombs.

It’s really creepy to contemplate why exactly this guy was running in panic.

10. Salad Fingers

This classic series was extremely popular for its unnerving animation, spooky post-apocalyptic atmosphere, and the creepy titular character, “Salad Fingers.” In the opening episode, Salad Fingers looks for the perfect spoon to rub his fingers against in order to feel some sort of pleasure.

11. Miss Shaye St. John

This creepy relic from the early days of YouTube never fails to make me squirm in my seat. Meet Miss Shaye St. John — a former actress made of mannequin parts after a serious accident left her disfigured — who appears in multiple videos uploaded by surrealist artist Eric Fournier.

In the video, Miss Shaye makes weird hand movements while gurgling out strange syllables. Another mannequin humanoid walks into the room and pesters Miss Shaye to teach them “the hand thing,” and both of them continue to slam their wooden hands together.

It’s guaranteed to send shivers down your spine.

12. Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared

What starts off as an children’s educational song turns into your own personal nightmare factory. In the video, three puppets learn what it means to be “creative” from a talking notepad. But all three of them get much more than they bargained for when the video jumps to surreal scene filled with blood and guts.

Just remember “green is not a creative color,” and you should be fine watching this video … hopefully.

13. Unwind With the Sweeties

This bizarre YouTube video comes from a public access television show from the ’90s called “Unwind with the Sweeties.” According to Lost Media Wiki, a married couple named Gus and Emma Schlishki were the masterminds behind the petrifying show.

In the video, a couple wearing green and yellow ski masks and glasses with painted eyes are reading together. The husband (in the green mask) is perusing a book that has suggestive images of women. Then the scene cuts to another woman in a yellow ski mask talking about her day in a strange accent, all while squealing “ooooh,” in between sentences.

What the video lacks in scare factor, it more than makes up for in creepiness. No one seems to know what happened to The Sweeties after the show abruptly stopped airing. I’m sure we’re all OK with that.
